PReS-FINAL-1010: circulating micrornas in traps
نویسندگان
چکیده
Results We identified a 6 miRNAs signature able to discriminate TRAPS from healthy controls. Moreover, 4 miRNAs were differentially expressed between patients treated with the interleukin (IL)-1 receptor antagonist anakinra and untreated patients. Of these, miR-92a-3p expression was found to be reduced in untreated patients, while its expression levels were similar to healthy controls in samples obtained during anakinra treatment. MiR-92b levels were inversely correlated with the number of fever attacks/year during the 1 year from the index attack of TRAPS, while miR-377-5p levels were positively correlated with serum amyloid A (SAA) circulating levels. Conclusion Serum miRNAs levels show a baseline pattern in TRAPS, and may serve as potential markers of response to therapeutic intervention.

Role of MicroRNAs in BCG Therapy by the Induction of Neutrophil Extracellular Traps in Bladder Cancer
The treatment of bladder cancer is usually performed by Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) instillation. BCG therapy is a common therapeutic method with fewer side effects compared with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, etc. BCG can also inhibit the progression and recurrence of bladder cancer by inducing apoptosis pathways, arrest cell cycle, autophagy, and neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formatio...
متن کاملFirst Report of Circulating MicroRNAs in Tumour Necrosis Factor Receptor-Associated Periodic Syndrome (TRAPS)
Tumor necrosis factor-receptor associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS) is a rare autosomal dominant autoinflammatory disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of long-lasting fever and inflammation in different regions of the body, such as the musculo-skeletal system, skin, gastrointestinal tract, serosal membranes and eye. Our aims were to evaluate circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) levels in pati...
متن کاملPReS-FINAL-2235: Overlap of homozygous TNFRSF1A R92Q mutation with MEVF E148Q mutation versus homozygous TNFRSF1A R92Q mutation: difference in clinical profile in two sisters from Oman
Introduction Tumor necrosis factor receptor associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS) is a multifaceted auto inflammatory syndrome which was initially described in persons of Irish-Scottish ancestry and in ethnic groups of northern European descent. To date, more than 70 mutations have been described. Since then, it has been described in other ethnicities. There have been few reports of from Asia, 1...
متن کاملPReS-FINAL-2339: Blocking interferon alpha signaling can reduce neutrophil extracellular trap formation in juvenile onset systemic lupus erythematosus
Introduction A novel antimicrobial mechanism of neutrophils involves the release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) into the local environment to bind pathogens. NETs are composed of chromatin, and it has been proposed that a source of autoantigens in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) could be increased NETs production. Interferon (IFN)-a is known to be a key player in the pathogenesis o...
